office domicile odense harbour

Assignment: Artistic treatment of surfaces
Volume: Digital print on 800 m2 acoustic batts
Builder: KPC byg
Architect: Henning Larsen’s drawing office

The idea behind the artistic treatment of the balcony front edges of the domicile is to give the domicile’s atrium yard a unique artistic expression which will help create rhythm, variation and warmth in the room – at the same time helping to regulate the acoustics.

The motif is shadows of dandelions. We have chosen dandelions because it is a plant that everyone recognises, it is full of life and colour and appears everywhere. By depicting the dandelions as shadows, they turn into abstract forms as light and coloured expanses on the balcony front edges. The shadows are light and fleeting. They vary in a rhythm across the balcony front edges with different degrees of abstraction level in the motifs.
